Born in Madrid in 1976, Pablo Mielgo has conducted orchestras across all five continents, with lasting artistic relationships from Beijing to Miami, from Doha to Mallorca. A world citizen with an entrepreneurial spirit and one mission: to make music accessible for everyone. Conductor & Creative Leader of the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears since 2014 and of Florida Grand Opera since 2025.

Pablo Mielgo's vision extends far beyond the podium. As a creative leader, he played a key role in advancing a new home for the OSIB, "Caixa de Música" — a landmark project destined to shape the cultural life of the Balearic Islands and mark a transformative new beginning for the orchestra.
Caixa de Música
Conceived by Pablo Mielgo, Caixa de Música is a new cultural space envisioned as a "music box" open to the city — a venue where symphonic, chamber and contemporary music share the same intimate stage with audiences of every background.
The project blends concert hall, rehearsal home, open park and meeting point under one architectural gesture, embodying his belief that music belongs in everyday life.
